Daniel Joseph Uroskie-Leffew, 44, of 251 Spruce St., Minersville, died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Ashland, Oct. 10, 1969, he was a son of Laura M. Heiser Uroskie, who survives him in Minersville, and the late Nicholas G. Uroskie.

In 1987, Daniel was adopted and also became the son of Harry and Dixie Sattizahn Leffew, Palmyra.

Daniel was a 1987 gradute of Blue Mountain High School and a proud Army veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward J. Heiser Sr.; and a nephew, Zed Saranchak-Britton.

In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his children, Daniel Jr. and Kirstyn Leffew, North Carolina, Eric Leffew, Pottsville, and Kendalynn and Klarissa Leffew, Schuylkill Haven: two sisters, Mararet "Peg" Hooven, Pottsville, and Ethel "Cookie" Uroskie, Minersville: four brothers, Nicholas "Nicky" Uroskie, Pottsville, Arthur "Ted" Uroskie, John Leffew Palmyra, and Barry Leffew, Rockville, Maryland; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment with full military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service.
