Debra M. Dando, 59, of Mechanicsville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at her residence.

Born in Pottsville, Nov. 10, 1954, she was a daughter of Patricia A. Bettinger Rada, Mechanicsville, and the late Michael J. Rada.

Debra was a member of the former St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Branchdale.

She was formerly employed as a nurses aide and at Boyer's Food Market, Pottsville.

In addition to her father, Debra was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are sons, Matthew Hirsch, Mechanicsville, Adam Hirsch, Pottsville, Joshua Hirsch and John Dando, both of Mechanicsville; and two daughters, Sarah Ames and Laurann Hirsch, both of Port Carbon.

A religious memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, with the Rev. Leo Maletz officiating. Friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Mary Star of the Sea Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances made in Debra's name to St. Matthew the Evangelist Memorial Fund. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, is entrusted with arrangements.
