L. Donald "Donnie" Gass, Lykens, passed away May 14 at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
Born April 4, 1961, he was a son of the late Donald L. and Joan A. Hand Gass.
A 1979 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School, he was owner of Gass Service Station, Lykens.
He was a member of and past master of Ashlar Lodge 570 F&AM of Lykens, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple and Shrine of Harrisburg, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 125, Millersburg,
Donnie was past governor of Tower City Moose Lodge 1603, past president of Porter-Tower Lions Club and a member of American Legion Post 124, Lykens and American Legion Post 239, Williamstown.
He was a social member of Liberty Hose Company No. 2, Lykens, Wiconisco Fire Company, Liberty Hose Company No. 1 and VFW Post 6947, both of Williamstown.
He had his private pilot's license, enjoyed NASCAR, working on older cars and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.
Donnie is survived by many friends and wished to thank the many people who supported him over the years.
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at John R. Shultz Funeral Home, 406 Market St., Lykens, with Pastor Nathan Minnich officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with Ashlar service at 7:45 p.m. John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, has charge of arrangements.
