John C. "Jack" Correll, 75, of Kaska, passed away Saturday surrounded by his loving family at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.

Born in Kaska, May 24, 1939, he was a son of the late John D. Correll and Irene "Becky" O'Neil Correll.

Jack was a graduate of the former Blythe Township High School and a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, both of New Philadelphia.

He was also a lifetime member of Kaska Fire Company. He was employed for Wagman Construction Co. for more than 30 years before retiring.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie A. Morris Correll, April 14, 1997; a daughter in infancy, Judy; and a brother, Jimmy Correll.

Jack is survived by two sons, Jack E. Correll, New Philadelphia, and Michael Correll and wife, Wendy, Friedensburg; three daughters, Michele "Shelly" and husband, Frank McDonald, Pottsville, Marie "Petesy" and husband, Mark Vukmanovich, Drums, Karen Correll, Kaska; daughter-in-law, Patty Correll, Kaska; sister, Irene Troutman, Schuylkill Haven; and six grandchildren, Erica McDonald, Jack Correll and wife, Vanessa, Nicole Correll, Shane Correll, Tori Correll and Ashly Vukmanovich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald Minner as celebrant. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. In memory of Jack, the family requests donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or American Red Cross, 1402 W. Laurel Blvd. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
