Sherry A. Seiders, 71, of Minersville, passed away peacefully Friday at Lehigh Valley Medical Center-Cedar Crest with family by her side.

Born in the Pottsville area, July 29, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Anna L. Starr Seiders.

She was a Pottsville High School graduate.

Sherry was an extraordinary homemaker to a large, loving, extended family she enjoyed spending time with over the years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry C. Seiders, in March 1977; sister, Susan; two great-grandchildren, Timothy Andrew Shomper and Ella Rae Seiders; and two cousins, Frank and John.

Surviving are two daughters, Johanne Shomper and husband, Tim, and Jill Seiders; four sons, Ronald Seiders and wife, Michelle, Woodrow "Woody" Seiders and wife, Debra, Barry Seiders and wife, Donna, and Leslie Seiders, all living in the area; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Ronnie, Jessica, Jared, Tyler, Alexis, Justin, Julie and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Matt and Emma; four sisters, Janet, Snookie, Ellen and Norma; five brothers, Joseph, Robert, Abraham, Henry and Stephen; cousins, Helen, Nancy, Margaret, Mary Jane, Renee, Harry, Paul, George and Amos; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. June 21 at Mount Laurel Cemetery, Bulls Head Road, Pottsville. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to , 1701 N.
