Lawrence J. Snyder, 86, of Lancaster, died Monday at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lavelle, he was a son of the late Harvey K. and Laura E. Yoder Snyder.

Lawrence, unfortunately, died on the 63rd anniversary of the day he married his loving wife, Helen P. Bernosky Snyder.

He worked as a color specialist for Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster.

Lawrence was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church, Lancaster, where he served as an usher and communion server. He was also a member of Ephrata Lodge 1933 BPOE, the National Railway Historical Society, Citizens Police Academy of Lancaster, the Fulton Opera House, the Musical Art Society of Lancaster and the Lancaster Community Concert Association.

He formerly belonged to the Cotillion Club, and he enjoyed gardening.

Lawrence was the last of his family of 13 brothers and sisters.

Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, Helen, are brother-in-law, Carl L. Bernosky, husband of Jean, Ashland; nieces and nephews.

Services and interment for Lawrence will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Securing Our Future, Grandview United Methodist Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
