Helen M. Ney, 92, of Lakeview Personal Care Home, South Beaver Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday.
Born Oct. 12, 1921, in Hegins, she was a daughter of the late Harl and Tillie Schwartz Huntzinger.
She was a member of Chippewa United Presbyterian Evangelical Church. She was a homemaker, a member of the Chippewa Women's Club, Chippewa Senior Citizens, Chippewa Grange and had belonged to a card club for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Ney, in 1987; and two brothers, Harvey and Irvin Huntzinger.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Earl H. and Bonnie Ney, Chippewa Township; two granddaughters and their spouses, Karen and Lawrence Cable, Monaca, and Kristie and Paul Caratelli, South Beaver Township; two great-granddaughters, Alissa Rice and her husband, David, Monaca, and Lauren Cable, Rochester; great-great-grandson, Cayden Rice, Monaca; and two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Huntzinger and Francine Huntzinger, both of Virginia.
There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. Thursday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., Valley View, until the time of the service at 1 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Warren Egebo. Interment will follow in Friedens Lutheran Cemetery, Hegins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
