Lorraine A. Kolessar, 90, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday morning at home.

She was born April 2, 1924, in German, Fayette County, a daughter of the late James and Anna Canfield King.

She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed by the former W.T. Grant Store, Pottsville, prior to retiring.

Lorraine was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Kolessar; and two brothers, James and Bernard King.

Surviving are three sisters, Margaret Steele, Kennett Square, and Joan Selinko and Nancy King, both of Pottsville; caregivers, Fran and Ali; nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner as the celebrant. Family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to Holy Cross Memorial Fund, 99 Valley St., New Philadelphia, PA 17959. Interment will be private at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
