Heather A. Schreyer Manbeck, 28, of Harrisburg, died Friday morning at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio.

Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Lisa Schreyer, Barnesville.

She was a 1999 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School.

She was currently employed as a licensed practical nurse while attending Harrisburg Area Community College working on her RN, which she would have received in May 2010.

Heather was known to be Northeastern Pennsylvania's first liver transplant recipient, living and enjoying 24 years after receiving her transplant.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, David Manbeck; her 5-year-old son and pride and joy, Alex; her grandfather, Fritz Schreyer.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday at David D. Jarrett Funeral Home, Second and Pine streets, Mahanoy City, with Deacon Joseph Costa officiating. Interment will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Mahanoy Township. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
