Albert Bader Obituary

Albert A Bader, Sr , 79, of 708 W. Maple St., Valley View, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

He was born in Elizabeth, N.J., on July 7, 1931, a son of the late Albert Alphonse Bader and Helen Ryan Bader.

He was a 20-year veteran of the Navy, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam.

He had also been employed as a coremaker at Goulds Pumps, Ashland, before retiring.

Al enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven C. Bader, and a great-granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Hubler Bader, to whom he was married for 56 years; two sons, Albert A. Bader Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Richard K. Bader and his wife, Pauline, Easton; two daughters, Linda L. Huhn and Teresa A. Deibert, both of Valley View; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen DiIorio, Matawan, N.J.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hegins Area Ambulance Association, Valley View PA 17983. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com.
