Richard L. Collier, 75, of Lake Wynonah, died Thursday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Midland County, Mich., Dec. 11, 1934, he was the son of the late Alexander C. and Mary Alice Fisher Collier.

He was married to JoAnn P. Bright Collier, with whom he celebrated a 50th anniversary in March.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He was employed by the military for 21 years and served in Vietnam with the Air Force. Following his military career, he worked at Berks County Prison and the Purchasing Department of the Ag Center, retiring from both positions in 1998.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother-in-law, Michael, husband of Glenda Bright, Orwigsburg, and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Contributions may be sent to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Condolences may be sent to the family in care of Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
