Frank Demcher, 80, of Forestville, passed away Wednesday at his residence.
He was the husband of Margaret Kondrack Demcher, who survives.
Born in Phoenix Park, Jan. 5, 1930, he was a son of the late Anna Sawka and Nicholas Demcher.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Army.
He retired from his position as foreman at Allied Signal.
He was a member of the Minersville Legion Post 544 and the Forestville Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Frank, husband of Debra Demcher, Tremont, Eugene, husband of Carol Demcher, Minersville, Kenneth, husband of Jill Demcher, Harrisburg, Gerard, husband of Christine Demcher, Forestville, and David, husband of Gorgi Demcher, King of Prussia; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. Requiem Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville, with the Rev. Mark Fesniak officiating. Friends may call the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday until time of service. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Nicholas School Fund. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. has charge of arrangements.
