Ronald Wesner, 79, of Mahanoy City, died unexpectedly Wednesday shortly after arrival at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs.
Born in Gilberton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Elsie Williams Wesner.
A graduate of Gilberton High School, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for and retired from Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville.
Ronald was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member, former trustee and deacon of his church. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are a brother, Andrew and his wife, Sharon, Sugarloaf; a sister, Elsie, Mahanoy City, with whom he resided; a nephew, Andrew, Sugarloaf; a niece, Alice Vislocky, Hazleton; and cousins.
Private graveside services will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville, with the Rev. Dr. John H. Reid officiating. There will not be any calling hours. David D. Jarrett Funeral Home, Mahanoy City, has charge of arrangements. For more information, visit www.jarrettfuneralhome.com.
