Peter Laguna, 90, of 621 Pine St., Saint Clair, passed away peacefully Sunday at his residence.
Born in Denbo, June 21, 1921, he was a son of the late Anthony and Anastasia Washuta Laguna.
He graduated from Saint Clair High School.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Pete was co-owner of Laguna Brothers Auto Body, Saint Clair.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Saint Clair, and was very active with the church council. He was also a member of Schuylkill County Byzantine Choir, Saint Clair Veterans Honor Guard and AMVETS, Saint Clair.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Roseann Laguna Helman; a sister, Anna Dobrolsky; six brothers, John, Joseph, George, Michael, Steven and Ted Laguna.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Eleanor Razzis Laguna; two sons, Peter Laguna, Saint Clair, and Daniel Laguna, Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Nada Laguna, Primrose; a brother, Andrew Laguna, San Diego, Calif.; three granddaughters, Jamie Laguna, Tara Helman and Jodi Helman; a grandson, Neil Laguna; a great-granddaughter, Abriana Chua; a great-grandson, Aiden Mataka.
Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church with Monsignor Myron Grabowski officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Parastas will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 105 N. Morris St., Saint Clair. Interment with military honors will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, East Norwegian Township. Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St.. Saint Clair, is in charge of arrangements.
