Arthur F. "Buddy" McNeely, 84, of Rest Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Port Carbon, died Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.

He was born June 10, 1927, in Pottsville, a son of the late Arthur F. Sr. and Alvina Pacine McNeely.

He was a graduate of Blythe Township High School and served in the Army during World War II. He was employed by the former United Metal, Pottsville, prior to retiring.

Buddy was a member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Port Carbon, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout life.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Richard McNeely; and a sister, Dorothy Bradley.

Surviving are a sister, Sandra Mirabella and her husband, Joseph, Pottsville; a nephew, Gary Bradley, Pottsville; a niece, Darlene Miller, Saint Clair; a cousin, Gordon Biel, Pottsville; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Rev. David W. Karns, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Stephen Cemetery, Port Carbon.
