Cletus C. Ringenary, 85, of Temple, died Wednesday at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
Born in Gordon, Aug. 29, 1927, he was a son of the late Peter and Catherine Pitts Ringenary.
Cletus attended Gordon schools and was a graduate of The Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades. He worked for Western Electric until his retirement.
He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church and AMVETS, both of Gordon.
He served his country in the Army from 1946 until 1948.
The most important part of his life was his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Blanche Wagner, on Jan. 25, 2009; a daughter, Margaret Hoff; two brothers, Leo Ringenary and Charles Ringenary.
Cletus is survived by a son, Martin Ringenary, Temple; two daughters, Catherine (Walter) Dassler, Slatington, and Susan (James) Griesemer, Wernersville; a brother, James (Patricia) Ringenary, Mount Holly, N.J.; four grandchildren, Laura (Steve) Wukovitz, Rusty Hoff, Annie Hoff and Jimmy Griesemer; a great-grandson, Walter Wukovitz; a son-in-law, Jerry Hoff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park, Reading, with Monsignor Dennis T. Hartgen officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Family will provide the flowers and suggests that memorial contributions in Cletus' name be made to Office of Institutional Advancement, The Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades, 106 South Middleton Road, Media, PA 19063. Kaufman Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Williamsport, is in charge of arrangements.
