The Rev. David G. Paul, 76, of Felton, passed away Saturday at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Hon. Harold L. and Marion L. Paul.

Rev. Paul was a United Methodist minister, serving the Peninsula Delaware Conference for 53 years.

He was a Master Mason and served 60 years in the fire service involving 14 fire departments in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. He was past chief of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company and served as chaplain for Sussex, Kent and The State Fireman's Associations.

Rev. Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret A. Paul; daughters, Bonnie J. Bosies, Delmar, Del., and Beverly A. Paul, Felton.

A full fireman's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Felton Volunteer Fire Company, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call starting at 10 a.m. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to DVFA- Delaware Volunteer
