William E. Brouse, 78, of Spring Township, died Friday at Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
He was the husband of Carol J. Stauffer Brouse, who he married April 7, 1956.
Born in Selinsgrove, he was a son of the late Howard R. and Helen M. Mull Brouse.
William was a 1953 graduate of Ringtown High School, a 1957 graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a bachelor of science in industrial engineering.
He worked as a manager for CarTech for 35 years before his retirement. William was also the assistant superintendent of the melting department and superintendent of vacuum induction melting.
William was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ where he served as the president of consistory and co-chair on the Building Expansion Committee.
He was a two-time president of Sinking Spring Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, William is survived by his daughter, Sharon K., wife of Thomas R. Rutter, Sinking Spring; and two grandsons: Derek, husband of Leonidas, Wyomissing, and Kyle, Sinking Spring; siblings: Richard H. Brouse, East Earl Township, Deanna, wife of Larry Fetterman, Ringtown; and several nieces and nephews
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's UCC. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
