Helen G. Mitchell, 84, a former Ashland resident, passed away Wednesday morning in Frackville.
Born in Glen Carbon, Sept. 23, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Rushanan Sebock. She attended the former Cass Township High School and was employed as a sewing machine operator by the former Model Garment Co., Frackville, until her retirement in 1990.
Helen was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Ashland, and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Mitch" Mitchell Sr., in January 2013; sisters, Ann Landoline and Mary Trenteost; a brother, Paul Sebock.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie, wife of Joe Maley, Frackville; sons, William Mitchell Jr. and his wife, Theresa, Frackville, and James Mitchell and his wife, Mary, Ringtown; a sister, Veronica Urban, East Paterson, N.J.; brothers, John Sebock, Whitehall, and Emil Sebock, Minersville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Glory of Faith International Church, Shenandoah, with the Rev. John Jang officiating. Memorials may be made to Glory of Faith International Church, 117 W. Oak St., Shenandoah, PA 17976. Interment will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
