Ida Schach Obituary

Ida M. Schach, 90, of Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away Thursday at Rest Haven nursing home, Schuylkill Haven.

Born Nov. 9, 1924, in Ravine, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie Harvey Wertz.

She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.

Ida worked as a back tacker and sewing machine operator for Canoe Mfg., Pine Grove.

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Claude Schach; two brothers, Harvey and Richard Wertz.

Surviving are a son, Fred Schach Jr. and his wife, Jane, Pine Grove; daughter, Linda and her husband, Albert Brobst, Schuylkill Haven; three grandchildren, Jason Schach and his wife, Justine, Ginger Webb and her companion, Keith Krammes, and Jessica Brobst; five great-grandchildren: Payton and Gavin Schach, Brittany and Michael Benjamin Webb and Amanda Brobst; great-granddaughter, Izabella; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Richard Schoenleber officiating. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Ravine.
