John Milot Obituary

John James Milot, 88, of Middleport, and formerly of Coraopolis, died Wednesday at his residence.

Born in Brockton, Nov. 14, 1928, John was a son of the late Andrew and Anna Lynch Milot.

He was the devoted husband of the late Theresa Hill Milot, to whom he was married 53 years at the time of her death in 2008.

A 1946 graduate of the former Blythe Township High School, he served in the Army during the Korean War.

John was an airline mechanic for the Alleghany Airlines and US Airways, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of The Parish of Holy Cross, New Philadelphia, and previously a member of the former St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Brockton.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Milot; brothers, Andrew Milot and Thomas Milot; sisters, Theresa Reed and Mary Milot.

Devoted to his family, John is survived by sons, John M. Milot and his wife, Patricia, Germansville, Richard Milot and his wife, Mandy, Haymarket, Va., and Ronald Milot and his wife, Lori, Crescent; grandchildren, Jill, Kristin, Jessica and Courtney; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Milot, Florida; nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in Holy Cross Parish Church, 99 Valley St., New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner officiating. Interment in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown, will follow the Mass. Call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday in the church. Memorials in John's name may be made to The Parish of Holy Cross, 99 Valley St., New Philadelphia, PA 17959. Online condolences may be made to www.zgfuneralhome.com.
