Cheryl E. McGinty, age 70 of Greenwood, DE went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
Mrs. McGinty was born on March 19, 1947 in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae Olsen.
Cheryl worked as a nurse for 32 years before retirement.
Her interests included shopping, going to the beach and enjoying her animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alan.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Donald H. McGinty Sr.; her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Payton and her husband Jack of Harrington, DE; and her son, Donald H. McGinty Jr. and his wife Jeanette of Viola, DE. She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother to nine grandchildren, Brittany, Seth, Caleb, Megan, Jared, Christi Grace, Jack Caden, Mandi and Bristal; and five great grandchildren, Lydia, Clay, Skylar, Micah and Savannah. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Laurelli and her husband Anthony of Greenwood, DE.
Services will be privately held.
