Mark A. Muchenberger(1970 - 2017)

Mark A. Muchenberger, Major (retired) USAF, of Clayton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 in West Allis, Wis. He was 46.

He was born in West Allis, Wis., on Nov. 9, 1970, the beloved son of Ronald and Mary Muchenberger. Mark grew up in Greendale, Wis., and enjoyed spending time with family, hunting and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

He received his Bachelor in Economics degree from Campbell University and retired from the United States Air Force, where he proudly served 24 years as a crew chief, pilot and flight commander.

He was a member of the Methodist Men at Asbury United Methodist Church, Smyrna.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 13 years, Amy Muchenberger (Walters); two children, Ashley and Joel Muchenberger; his siblings, Tim (RaeJean), Jim, Juliet Urso (George); in-laws John and Jill Walters; nieces and nephews; and his pets, Lili and Molly.

The family is grateful for the exceptional care Mark received at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware and West Allis Medical Center in Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 W. Mt. Vernon St., Smyrna. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Asbury UMC, 20 W. Mt. Vernon St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
