Elizabeth B. Seay, age 74, of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 from complications due to Alzheimer's disease. She passed away at Park Creek Place Memory Care Community in North Wales, Pennsylvania, with her son Michael by her side and under the care of Crossroads Hospice.

Elizabeth worked for the Delaware State Police (DSP) for 30 years, starting in the intelligence unit and ultimately serving as the Lt. Colonel's secretary at DSP Headquarters in Dover. Her commitment tothe DSP went far beyond simply working there. She was proud to serve the state of Delaware and had great respect for many with whom she served. Her service to the community also extended to volunteering her time to various charitable causes, including the Special Olympics, as a "cuddler" for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and one-on-one mentoring of a special needs child. Elizabeth was also a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church, with long-time ties to St. Peter's Church in Smyrna and later to St Anne's in Middletown.

When not at work or volunteering, Elizabeth invested her time in her sons and their endeavors, making connections and meeting new people everywhere she went, maintaining relationships with family and friends, enjoying the beach, improving herself through formal education, and traveling. In particular, she enjoyed traveling to Massachusetts to visit her sons and granddaughter Catherine.

She is survived by her sister, Gail Warburton of Roslyn, Pa., her brother, Bruce Boyer, of Oaklyn, N.J., and her two sons, Joseph and Michael. Joseph, wife Sally and daughter Catherine, live in Mass. Michael, wife Megan and son Oliver, live in Pa.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 2 at 3 p.m., at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Haddon Avenue in Collingswood, N.J. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Elizabeth Seay to the (https://act.alz.org).
