The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at the Sacred Heart Chapel, Saint Benedict's Monastery, St. Joseph, for Sister Christopher (Mary) Weber, who died on November 21, 2013, at Talahi Senior Campus, St. Cloud, Minn. Burial will be in the monastery cemetery. Friends may call at Saint Scholastica Convent, St. Cloud, on Monday, November 25, 2013, from 1-6 p.m., or for a Vigil Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Saint Benedict's Monastery. Visitation continues at 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral.

S. Christopher (Mary) Weber was born December 11, 1928, to Stephen and Kunegunda (Weinkauf) Weber in rural Nashua, Glasgow, Mont. She attended South Side Grammar Public Grade School and Glasgow Public High School. On November 27, 1948, she entered Saint Benedict's Monastery, was received into the novitiate on June 15, 1949, made first monastic profession on July 11, 1950, and perpetual monastic profession on July 11, 1953.

From the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, S. Christopher earned a B.A. degree in English with minors in history, philosophy and education. She earned an M.A. degree in education administration and guidance from the State University of Iowa, Iowa City, and an M.Ed from the University of Maine in Orano, Maine. She also studied at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. and St. Cloud State University.

S. Christopher served in elementary education in Richmond, Minn.; in secondary education at Pierz Memorial High School, Pierz, Minn., and Cathedral High School, St. Cloud; and as principal and counselor at Saint Benedict's High School in St. Joseph.

From 1972 to 2008, S. Christopher ministered at St. Anselm's College in Manchester, N.H. She served as a professor of education, as chair of the educational department and was assistant chaplain and counselor. She also served on the New Hampshire State Board of Education and as President of the Council for Religious Sisters of the State of New Hampshire.

S. Christopher is survived by the Sisters of her Benedictine community, her sister Marilyn Mangnall, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Paul, Stephen and Richard, and her sisters: Katherine Cassidy, Dorothy Geerta and Bernice Walter.

Memorial gifts should be directed to Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict Retirement Fund.
