A private family service will be held at a later date for Harold A. "Toby" Torborg, 87, of St. Cloud, who died May 20, 2013. Inurnment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Toby was born May 31, 1925, in St. Cloud to Mathew and Emma (Blomker) Torborg. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He lived in California for most of his life until returning to St. Cloud in 2000. Toby was an avid card player. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Waite Park American Legion Post 428.
Toby is survived by his children, Debbie (Gary) Stevenson of Maplewood, Connie (Jerry) Chapman of Buffalo, Pam (Tom) Gaddis of Prior Lake, Mike (Jane) Torborg of Rice; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald and sister Ruth Eisenzimmer.

Grampa...
it wasnt until these last few years we became really close. I wish we had more time to spend together, but I will forever cherish the moments we did have. I will never forget you. Oh, and Grampa, I will miss kicking your butt at quiddler :)

I will forever miss the smiling face, quick wit and one liners. I will never forget some of the words and advice you have shared with me. YOu were very special to me and the kids. YOu will be missed dearly and we know you are in a better place playing lots of cards. Rest in peace.
