Shirley M. Carlson, age 85, St. Cloud, MN died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 22, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2013 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Shirley was born June 30, 1927 in St. Cloud, MN to Mathias and Lillian( Daubanton) Kollman. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Cloud Technical High School. Shirley married Irwin "Bud" W. Carlson on June 11, 1946 at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud, MN. She volunteered at the St. Cloud Hospital and in the "Tiger Den" at St. Cloud Technical High School. Shirley was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Some of Shirley's favorite pastimes included bowling, baking and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren at the cabin on Little Rock Lake.
Survivors include daughter, Peggy Carlson of St. Cloud, MN; son, Bryan "Doc" (Beth) Carlson of St. Cloud, MN: and three grandchildren, Peter Carlson, Matthew (Emily Perry) Carlson and Katie Carlson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Irwin on June 9, 2007, and brother, Robert Kollman in 1963.
Memorials are preferred.

Remember me from 2West days. I . remember when I first started there. your Mon and Dad had just retired and were doing volunteer work at the hospital. I had dinner at your home. I remember your Mom as fun,funny and a great cook. Be gentle with yourself. I hold good memories of you.
