Margaret Case Obituary

Margaret M. Case, 90

St. Cloud

Sept. 12, 1922 - March 16, 2013

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Cloud for Margaret M. Case, 90, of St. Cloud who passed surrounded by her family Saturday, March 16, at St. Benedict's Senior Community. Rev. Alan Wielinski will officiate and burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2013 at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Margaret was born in Holdingford on farm where she was born and raised. Margaret graduated from the St. Cloud Teacher's College in 1943, with a degree in Elementary and Rural Education. She taught in several one room school houses and talked often about the challenges and triumphs she faced during those years. She later taught at St. Peter's and eventually at St. Anthony's where she retired after a 22 year career to start her own family. She often spoke fondly of her teaching days. She truly adored each of her students.

In 1947 she married Eugene A Case at the church of St. Mary in Holdingford, MN. They enjoyed traveling, camping, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. After 19 years of marriage, they were blessed with their only child, Jacquelyn. Margaret and Eugene celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2009.

Margaret was a woman of strong faith. She was a member of the Legion of Mary for several years. She was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary 428 of St. Cloud. She loved her Catholic faith and practiced it daily. She always had a kind word or a silent prayer for someone that was in need.

Margaret enjoyed shopping and chatting. She had endless amounts of stories to share from her life time. She loved cooking, the outdoors, gardening, walking, animals, music, singing, playing the piano and dancing; especially as a young woman. She was also quite the trickster, always looking for a reason to laugh and have fun. She was especially fond of her family and close friends. Her daughter meant everything to her.

She was a wonderful mother. She loved her family dearly. Her humor, smile and kindness will be missed by many.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn (James) Hall of St. Cloud; granddaughters, Amber Hall of St. Cloud, Coral (Jesse Graves) Hall of St. Cloud; two great-granddaughters, Zanna Graves and Lexa Graves. Margaret greatly anticipated the birth of her third great-granddaughter in July. She is also survived by her siblings, Adeline (Milton) Zenk, Floyd (Janice) Czech, David (Delores) Czech; and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by parents, Alois and Theresa (Kiley) Czech; husband, Eugene; siblings, Alois Jr., Wayne, Oliver (Dina), Delphine, and Dale.

Dear Jackie,
You have never met me and I only saw you as a baby. Your parents and my parents, Lester and Veronica Yell, were always friends.I moved away from St. Cloud when you were little so never really got to see your Mom and Dad after that. My parents moved to Alexandria, Mn. and my Mom is still there. I see now that your Dad died in 2009. I will always remember your parents with happy and fond memories.
Your Mom was my Confirmations Sponsor and the name I chose for confirmation, was Margaret.
We are in San Benito, Tx. now for the winter and I just happened to check the St. Cloud Times on the internet.
Please accept our sympathies and know that your Mom and Dad were special people in my life. Remember all the special memories, they will last forever.
God has another angel.
