Elizabeth Mary Barker (nèe Klemz) DuBois, PA Formerly of Cold Spring January 25, 1966 - July 1, 2015 Elizabeth Mary Barker,(nèe Klemz) Age 49 of 99 Ice Plant Road, DuBois, PA died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on January 25, 1966 in St. Cloud, MN, she was the daughter of Corrine (Wolters) Klemz.  Her mother survives and lives in DuBois, PA. On June 26, 2004, she married Gilbert J. Barker, Jr.  He survives. Beth was employed by Sunny 106.5 & WCED 1420 Radio for over 20 years. She worked in many capacities at the radio station and was well known on the air as Beth Walters. She grew up in Cold Spring, Minnesota where she was a 1984 graduate of ROCORI High School.  She was a graduate of St. Cloud State University where she was also a member of the St. Cloud Alumni Association. She was a member of We R Survivors Cancer Support Group, the Oklahoma Elementary School PTA, and was associated locally with the Boy Scouts of America program. For years, she was the host of the Scholastic Challenge in DuBois, and she was a DuBois Panther Football Mom. Beth was the much beloved mother of her 2 sons, Gilbert and Walter Barker. She enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities and spending time with her two "Gifts from God". She was preceded in death by her maternal grand- parents (Alphonse & Margaret Wolters). Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor David Bish officiating. Although flowers are appreciated, the family suggests that memorials be placed with the Anglemans Syndrome Foundation, 75 Executive Drive, Suite 327, Aurora, IL 60504 and/or Penn Highlands Home Health/Hospice, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801. Borgerding, Carol V.*  
Carol V. Borgerding, 70 Sauk Centre Sept. 3, 1944 - July 6, 2015 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre for Carol Borgerding who died peacefully on Monday, July 6 after a short battle with cancer at her home in Sauk Centre.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday all at the church. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. followed by the Christian Mothers at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. Caroline Veronica Schaefer was born September 3, 1944 in Belgrade, Minnesota to Herbert and Irene (Dingman) Schaefer.  She graduated from Sauk Centre High School. On August 20, 1963 she married Roger Borgerding at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.  The couple farmed south of Sauk Centre, where they had five children.  Along with farming, Carol also worked in food service at the Sauk Centre High School for many years.  In 2009, they retired from farming and moved to town. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angles Catholic Church and a member and past president of the Christian Mothers. Carol enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, playing cards, going to garage sales, gambling, walking, gardening, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.   Survivors include her husband, Roger Borgerding of Sauk Centre; children, Brian (Mary) Borgerding of Sauk Centre, Scott (Kim) Borgerding of Melrose, Greg (Christy) Borgerding of Rogers, Brenda (Roger) Jensen of Holdingford, and Rod (Melanie) Borgerding of Coon Rapids; ten grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jerry (Elaine) Schaefer of Dassel, Joan (Gene) Tamm of St. Cloud, Danny (Ginny) Schaefer of Gillman,  Jane (Joe) Miller of Lakeville, Mary Schaefer of Boston, MA, Fred (Janelle) Schaefer of Annandale, Shirley (Jon) Anderson-Schmidt of St. Cloud, and Juleen Schaefer (friend, Eleanor) of St. Cloud. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister; sister, Lorraine VanBeck on December 17, 1999. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Butkofski, Wilfred*  
Wilfred J. "Willy" Butkofski, 92 Paynesville Nov. 9, 1922 - June 28, 2015 A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Wilfred J. "Willy" Butkofski, age 92, of Paynesville who passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Paynesville Hospital with his wife, Gen, of 67 years at his side. Reverend Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Placement of the Urn ceremony will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls with full military honors. Family and friends may call from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Monday and after 9:30am on Tuesday all at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Arrangements are being provided by Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville. Willy was born in Elrosa, MN on November 9, 1922 to James and Matilda (Wuertz) Butkofski. He served honorably in the United States Army in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters during WWII. He was awarded three Bronze Stars, A Good Conduct Medal, and a Purple Heart all of which were very important to him. He was so happy and proud to be given the opportunity to attend the "Honor Flight" to Wash, DC in 2000. He married Genevieve Flint on October 1, 1947 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN. Willy had a career with the USPS ending in 1966 as Postmaster in Paynesville. After his retirement he involved himself in many volunteer activities for the community. He was a member of the K of C Council #3820, St. Louis Catholic Church, American Legion Post 271 and NAPUS, a postal organization. Willy enjoyed ice fishing, bowling, woodworking, stamp and coin collecting. He is survived by his wife, Gen; children Nancy (John) Frobenius of St. Cloud, Jim (Debi) Butkofski of Paynesville; grandchildren Kristin (Paul) Wetzel, Tricia (Brian) LaCanne, Justin Butkofski; 3 great-grandchildren, Jack and Ben Wetzel, Aubree LaCanne and extended family and friends. Willy was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Florentine Butkofski. Memorials are Preferred in Lieu of flowers.
