Saatzer, Ernest M. "Ernie"*  
Ernest M. "Ernie" Saatzer, 92 Sartell, Minnesota and Formerly of Waite Park, Minnesota April 15, 1923 ~ July 4, 2015 Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday July 9, 2015 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Ernest M. "Ernie" Saatzer, age 92, of Sartell and formerly of Waite Park.  Ernie passed away July 4, 2015 at the Country Manor in Sartell.  Reverend Mark Innocenti will officiate.  Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls with full military honors.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud. Ernie was born April 15, 1923 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Michael and Mary (Weller) Saatzer.  After school he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps building the roads and buildings in Itasca State Park. He served in the U. S. Army, 135th Infantry Regiment, during WWII from 1943-1947.  He was a recipient of a Purple Heart. On September 17, 1945 he married Josephine Stawarski at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud.  He worked at the St. Cloud V.A. Hospital where he became a supervisor.  He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park, VFW Granite Post 428, Waite Park American Legion Post 428 and St. Cloud Eagles Aerie 622.  Ernie will be remembered for his enjoyment of hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed sports, bowling, reading, playing cards, going to the cabin or casino, classic Western movies and taking Josephine dancing.  Ernest is survived by his wife Josephine of Sartell, son Steve (Sheila) Saatzer of Richville, daughter-in-law Carol Saatzer of Pendelton, OR, granddaughter DeAnna Saatzer of Portland, OR, brothers John (Ginny) Saatzer of St. Cloud and Joe (Mona) Saatzer of Red Lodge, MT and sisters Betty Nieman of Waite Park and Laverne Halupczok of St. Cloud. Preceding Ernie in death were his parents, son John, brother Aloysius, and sisters Rita Turner and Bernadette Stocker.  Ernie's family would like to thank Steve and Tammy his hospice care nurses from St. Cloud Hospital Hospice and the staff at Country Manor who assisted Ernie and Jo during this difficult time.

Savage, Mildred "Millie"*  
Mildred I. "Millie" Savage, 90 Waite Park April 14, 1925 - July 2, 2015 Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park for Millie Savage who died Thursday at Sterling Park Nursing Home in Waite Park. The Rev. Mark Innocenti will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Millie was born in Waite Park to Nicholas & Cecilia (Dietman) Strack. She grew up in Waite Park and lived almost her entire life in Waite Park. She married Richard J. Savage Sr. on June 22, 1948 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park. She was a very happy person who always had a smile. She was a great mom who passed on her simple values to her children and grandchildren. She loved to play cards and games, and enjoyed playing BINGO. She was a very social person and loved being around people. She especially loved being around her grandchildren. She loved to dance! Survivors include her children, Gary (Nancy) of Brainerd; Linda (Jim) Schepers of Apple Valley; Richard Jr. of St. Cloud; Gail (Jim) Zimmer of St. Cloud; Jeff (Gail) of Naperville, IL; Patricia (Dean) Haskamp of Waite Park; sisters, LaVerne Christen and Eleanor Strack both of Waite Park; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, David, grandson, Christopher Schepers, daughter in law, Diane Savage, and grandson, Brad Savage.

Jomaree Schave, 78 Sartell March 16, 1937 - July 1, 2015 Jomaree Schave, 78 year old resident of Sartell, MN passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in St. Stephen, MN with Father Robert Harren officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be from 9-10 A.M. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Jomaree was born on March 16, 1937 in Little Falls, Minnesota to the late John and Maryann (Gierok) Mueller. She attended St. Mary's Grade School and St. Francis High School and graduated in 1956. While in high school she worked at Camp Ripley and later worked at the Little Falls Medical Center and Little Falls Federal Savings and Loan. She married Donald Schave on April 11, 1972. The couple lived on Fish Trap Lake, and later moved to Sartell. There, the couple raised 5 children and Jomaree ran a daycare service for several years. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and camping each summer at the South Isle Family Campground. Jomaree is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald; children, Michelle Schave of Menahga, MN, Carrie (Randy) Paggen of St. Stephen, MN; David (Angie) Schave of Sauk Rapids, MN; and Jon Schave of Sartell, MN; grandchildren, Calvin, Monte, Trever, Britany, Nicole, Benjamin, Amber, Austin, Tyler, and Anna; and sister, Susan (Robert) Bogard of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John "Jack" Mueller; and son, Thomas Schave. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of CentraCare Home Care and Hospice Service for their loving care and comforting support during this trying time.

Eugenia A. "Jean" Schepers, 81 St. Cloud Jan. 25, 1934 - June 29, 2015 A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday July 6, 2015 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Eugenia A. "Jean" Schepers age 81 St. Cloud who passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015. Reverend Tim Gapinski will officiate.  Interment will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday all at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Jean was born on January 25, 1934 in St. Cloud to Bernard and Hilda (Herzog) Ahrens. She married Donald Schepers on September 4, 1954 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Jean was a teacher for 24 years, teaching at St. John Cantius, St. Anthony's, and Holy Spirit.  She was a member of St. John Cantius, the Rosary Sodality, the Daughters of Isabella, and the Eagles Aerie #622 Auxiliary. Jean enjoyed painting, gardening, cards, and swimming. She especially treasured all the time spent with her family. Jean is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald; children, Jim (Linda) of Apple Valley, Kathy (Jack) Hawk, of Granite Falls, Cheryl (Marty) Laudert of Fairbanks, AK, Mary Jo Schepers of Sartell, Sandy Wessels of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Patty (Kerry) Rud of Alexandria, John (Angie) of Vero Beach, FL, and Gail (Jack) Pelzer of St. Joseph, 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Liz Schueth of Indianapolis, IN, Taffy (Ev) Condon of Maplewood, Joanne Bensen of St. Cloud. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene; and grandson, Christopher.
