Beata Gohl, 91 Pierz Nov. 15, 1923 - Feb. 28, 2015 Beata Gohl, 91 year old resident of Pierz, MN, died Saturday, February 28th at the Pierz Villa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:30 A.M. St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Fr. Gerald Dalseth and Fr. Kenneth Popp Co-Celebrating. The burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Morrill, MN. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 2nd from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Tuesday at the church in Pierz, MN. Beata E. (Muyres) Gohl was born November 15, 1923 in Lakin Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to John and Rose (Scheibel) Muyres. She attended District #96 country school in Lakin Township through the eighth grade. Beata attended St. Francis High School in Little Falls for one year. She worked at General Mills in Minneapolis during World War II. Beata was united in marriage to Peter Gohl on May 7, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Morrill, MN. She was a homemaker all of her married life raising the couple's five children. Beata was known by her family and friends as a food magician with always plenty of food for guests when they would stop by, she loved to visit family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting and dancing. Beata was a member of the Christian Mothers, Heartland Polka Swingers and the Pierz American Legion Auxiliary. Left to cherish her memory are husband of 69 years, Pete Gohl of Pierz, MN; children, Diane (Dick) Ruegemer of St. Cloud, MN, Gary  (Theresa) Gohl of East Bethel, MN, Deborah Millner of Pierz, MN, Cynthia (Rick) Mahutga of Sioux Falls, SD and Barbara (Don) Scherbing of Monticello, MN; brother, Hub Muyres of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Krisie Barron, Danna Mokamba, Erik Gohl, Brent Gohl, Sarah Isabel, Nathan Gohl, Chad Millner, Nicole Millner, Ryan Mahutga, Justin Mahutga, Aaron Scherbing, Corey Scherbing, Deanna Rothhaupt, Robyn Downer and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Muuyres; brother, Arnold; sister, Rosemary; sons-in-law, Robbie Varsnick and Chuck Millner. Casket Bearers will be: Erik Gohl, Brent Gohl, Nathan Gohl, Chad Millner, Aaron Scherbing, Corey Scherbing, Ryan Mahutga and Justin Mahutga. Arrangements are with the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN.

Daniel "Danny" Norbert Hinnenkamp, 67 Cold Spring Aug. 21, 1947 ~ Feb. 22, 2015 Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Daniel "Danny" Hinnenkamp, age 67, who died peacefully at his home in Weslaco, TX on Sunday, February 22, 2015. A visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Daniel "Danny" Hinnenkamp was born on August 21, 1947 in Melrose, Minnesota to Leo and Loretta (Stienemann) Hinnen- kamp.  He grew up on the family farm north of Melrose. Danny graduated in 1965 from Melrose High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and he was stationed in Germany for 3 years.  On September 16, 1972 he married the love of his life, Janet Beste at St. Paul's Church in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. They resided in Cold Spring and were married 37 years. Danny drove semi for Parkway Auto Transport of Clearwater from August 2008 to 2014. Daniel loved driving semi-truck, traveling all over the country, listening to country music, collecting Eagles, spending time with his family and friends, and attending Albany Pioneer Days every September.  He enjoyed going to Texas every winter and spending time with his family and friends in the Weslaco Mobile Home Park.  He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Joe (Darlyne), Leander (Betty), Caroline Haider, Helen Brake, Elizabeth (Ben) Escher, RoseLyn (Jerry) Worrel, John (Linda), and Leon (Patti Jo); sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Pat Henry, Mary Lou (Matt) Lieser, Carol (Matt) Stalboerger, Norm (Barb) Henry, Loren (Laurie) Beste, and Alan (Tina) Beste; and all his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Janet; parents, Leo and Loretta; in-laws, Herman and Olivia Beste; brother-in-laws, John Brake, Charles Haider, and Bill Henry. Memorials are preferred to the St. Boniface Church, Cold Spring, Minnesota.

Knott, Karen*  
Karen J. Knott, 63 Saint Cloud Jan. 2, 1952 - Feb. 25, 2015 A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Karen J. Knott, age 63, of St. Cloud, will be at 7:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.  Karen passed away Wednesday morning with family by her side after years of illness.  There will be a visitation at 6:00 PM until the time of service Friday evening at the funeral home. Karen was born on January 2, 1952 to Francis and Florine (Durand) Fuchs in St. Cloud.  She was raised alongside 5 siblings and graduated from Tech High School.  In 1970, Karen married Robert Knott and a few years later they were blessed with their only son, Jeffrey.  She worked a variety of part-time jobs but was primarily a homemaker.  Karen enjoyed crocheting, painting, and cooking.  Her family loved everything she made for them.  She was a strong-willed woman who loved to spend time with her family, especially Jeff and her grandchildren. Karen is survived by her son Jeffrey Knott, St. Cloud; her siblings Dennis (Pam) Durand, St. Cloud; Mary Claire Vos, St. Cloud; Suzy Fuchs, Minneapolis; Fran Schaefer, Sartell; Laurie Ellett, Sauk Rapids; her grandchildren Macalla and Kody Knott; and many other family and friends. She is preceded by her parents Francis and Florine and her husband Robert.
