Faust, Leander*  
Leander B. Faust, 89 Waite Park February 25, 1927 - July 20, 2016 Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Leander B. Faust, age 89, who passed away Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Gregory Lieser will officiate and burial will be at Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery near Little Falls. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids, and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church. The Waite Park American Legion Post #428 will pray at 6:00 p.m., and parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Leander was born Feb. 25, 1927 in Granite Township to Joseph & Margaret (Meyer) Faust. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Leander married the love of his life, Helen Woitalla, on June 6, 1957 in Harding, MN. They later moved to Waite Park, MN where they have lived ever since. He worked for Crestliner from 1955-1963 and at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center in St. Cloud from 1963-1988 in building maintenance. Leander was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park, Waite Park American Legion Post #428, and St. Cloud VFW Post #428. He enjoyed woodworking, polka dancing, and daily lunch at Pesty's in Waite Park. Leander was a dedicated husband and father.  Leander lived by a strong work ethic. He was proud of his family and proud of his service to his country. Leander is survived by his wife, Helen of Waite Park; sons, Leon (Sandy) of St. Cloud and Alan (Kathy) of Cold Spring; brother, Elmer (Kathy) of Lastrup; and grandchildren, Sarah and Eric. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dolores (Ray) Kippley and Leola (Sylvester) Motschke; and grandson, Brad. Obituary and guestbook available online: www.williamsdingmann.com

DeWayne H. Florek, 72 Sauk Rapids May 7, 1944 - July 20, 2016             Preceded in death by wife of 50 years, Judith (Hoheisel) Florek. Survived by children, Kim Wenning, Dena LeBrun, Kris Emslander, Cara Hughes, Chad Florek & Ryan Florek. Garding, Marcellus F. "Louie"*  
Marcellus F. "Louie" Garding, 85 Paynesville, Minnesota Oct. 29, 1930 ~ July 21, 2016 Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Marcellus F. "Louie" Garding, 85, of Paynesville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Louie passed away peacefully while sleeping on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins, after a brief battle with cancer. Reverend Robert Harren will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Louis Parish Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday both at St. Louis Catholic Church. Arrangements are with Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville. Louie was born on October 29, 1930, on the family farm in St. Martin, to Mathias and Rose (Hoppe) Garding. He married Mary Lou Sumbs on June 13, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. They resided in Kimball and Freeport prior to building their home in Paynesville in 1958. Louie was employed with Cold Spring Granite for over 20 years, helped with farming for Joe Williams and also at his Implement Store, and lastly he worked for Stonegate Lodge in Paynesville for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Louis Parish. Louie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, gardening, baseball, golfing, lawn care and snow removal. He also enjoyed word search games and reading the paper. Above all, he treasured time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic as well as his kind and gentle nature. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; daughters, Debbie Wendt, of Grove City, Judy Johnson, of Litchfield, Linda (Tom) Schaefer, of Phoenix, AZ; grandsons, Eric (Ivy) Wendt, Travis (Johanne) Johnson and Keith Johnson; great-grandchildren, Avery Marcellus and Sienna Johnson; and three sisters, Julietta Garding of Sauk Rapids, Delores Zierden, of Sauk Rapids and Maryann Birr, of St. Cloud. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Cory Wendt; son-in-law, Curtis Wendt; three infant siblings; brother, Celestine; and sisters, Veronica Sterns and Eileen Balman. A special Thank You to the staff of the St. Cloud Hospital, Paynesville Hospital and Hilltop Care Center for their compassionate and professional care.
