Esther L. Langner, 67 Rice April 5, 1949 - July 16, 2016 Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake for Esther L. Langner, 67 of Rice who passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Thomas Becker will officiate and burial will be at a later date. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and also one hour prior to services at the church in Mayhew Lake on Friday morning. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids. Esther was born on April 5, 1949 in St. Joseph to Eugene and Olivia (Ressemann) Schwegel. She was married to Julius Adolph Langner on July 6, 1968 in Jacobs Prairie at St. James Catholic Church. She has lived in the Rice area for all of her married life. Esther worked out of her home, as she was self-employed as a seamstress. She truly loved sewing, knitting and various crafts. Esther also enjoyed camping, fishing, bonfires in the backyard and celebrating birthdays of family members. It was very important to her to be with her family, always putting her husband, children and grandchildren before herself. Esther was caring, loving, generous and accepting. Survivors include her husband, Julius A. of Rice; sons and daughters, Wayne of Rice, Patti (Wesley Shoudy) of Rice, Dott Haagenson of Sioux Falls, SD and Julius W. (Fran Taylor) of Anoka; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and siblings, Pauline Stein of Watkins, Jeanette Schwegel of Great Falls, MT, Veronica (Donald) Gill of Durbin, ND, Joe (Donna) Schwegel of St. Cloud, Betty (Leonard) Walz of St. Joseph, John (Marilyn) Schwegel of St. Cloud, Susan Boisjolie of Le Sueur, Charlie (Reggie) Schwegel of Eden Valley, Alvin Schwegel of Watkins and Helen Williams of Watkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Katie Ann Langner; grandson, Anthony "A.J." James Daniel "Jamie" Loch, 39 Kimball Sept. 19, 1976 - July 19, 2016 James Daniel Loch, age 39, of Kimball, died July 19, 2016. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Kimball Church of Christ with Pastor Kevin White officiating. Burial will follow at Maine Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2016 and one hour prior to the service on Monday, both at the church. A Prayer Service and Time of Sharing will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. James Daniel Loch was born September 19, 1976 in Litchfield, Minnesota. As an infant, James was adopted by his parents, Michael and Sherry (Combs) Loch. James grew up in Kimball where he graduated with the Class of 1995. On May 23, 1998 James was united in marriage to Kimberly Zirbes at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. James worked for Creative Curb in Watkins, Ryan Contracting of Shakopee, Ron Kassa Construction of Elko, and most recently JP Builders of Foley and the Kimball American Legion. James was a member of the Kimball Sports Boosters and Sons of the American Legion. He also volunteered his time coaching his kids' basketball and softball teams. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, taking vacations, and helping out with the Kimball Sports Boosters. Above all, he cherished the time and moments he was able to spend with his family, especially his five children. James is survived by his wife, Kim of Kimball; 5 children, Krista, Matthew, Maleah, Joshua, and Carly all at home; mother, Sherry of Kimball; parents-in-law, Cliff and Donna Zirbes; siblings-in-law, Michelle (Jay) Lloyd, Nicole (Nick) Schendel, Amber (Jay) Pundsack, and Emily Rademacher; many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Rev. Ronald W. Mahnke, 75 St. Cloud February 19, 1941 - July 18, 2016 Rev. Ronald William Mahnke, age 75, St. Cloud, MN died Monday, July 18, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel and one hour prior to the service at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sauk Centre, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Ronald was born February 19, 1941 in Carroll, IA to William H. and Luella (Anton) Mahnke. After graduating high school Ron attended St. Paul's Jr. College at Concordia, MO, Concordia Senior College at Ft. Wayne, IN and Concordia, Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO where he received a Master of Divinity Degree in 1968.  He married Barbara Bohne on December 27, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre, MN.  Ron served as pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Dumas, TX, served a dual parish at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eden Valley, MN and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Cold Spring, MN and served at Oklahoma Ave. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI.  He began his chaplaincy ministry in 1978 doing a residency in Pastoral Care at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, and became certified with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education. From 1980-2003 he served as Supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education in a hospital setting in Minot, ND. During this time he also received his masters in marriage and family therapy and became a licensed professional counselor. Ron is a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, former president of the local chapter of the National Federation of the Blind and received the Mayor's Rock-On Award in 2012 during Granite City Days. Learning and spreading the Gospel message was his lifelong passion.  Ron is survived by his wife, Barbara of St. Cloud, MN; children, Brad (Anita) Mahnke of West Fargo, ND and Dara (Steve) Brewer of St. Cloud, MN; mother, Luella Mahnke of Manning, IA; grandchildren, Jensen Potts, Keaton Mahnke, Mesa Potts, Kenley Mahnke; sister, Shannon (Charles) DeVoll of Edgerton, WI; brother-in-law, David (Sharon) Bohne of Eagan, MN; and 8 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, William and sister, Beverly. Memorials are preferred to the Prince of Peace Lutheran School Scholarship Fund.

Bernadine Meyer, 99 Richmond May 13, 1917 - July 19, 2016 Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Bernadine Meyer, age 99, who died Tuesday at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., Saturday morning at the funeral home.  Bernie was born in St. Martin, MN to Peter Sr, and Anna (Stroeing) Doll. She worked as a cook for Tony Nierenhausen, Leo Steinhagen and Jerry Dols. Bernie then worked as a seamstress for Fingerhut and Wonderall Companies until her retirement in 1979. She enjoyed cards, gardening, quilting, sewing, bingo and going to the casino. Bernie was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Christian Women and St. Theresa Mission Group. Survivors include her children, Irma (Dennis) Korte, Charles "Chas" (Vicki) Meyer, Donna (Joe) Salzer, Marilyn (Lee) Thomes, Michael "Mitch" (Beth) Meyer, Jean Novak; siblings, Peter (Jenny) Doll, Anna Schulte; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Meyer; infant son, John and son-in-law, Don Novak.
