Anderson, Ronald B.*  
Ronald B. Anderson, 57 Baxter Sept. 22, 1957-April 24, 2015 Services celebrating the life of Ronald B. Anderson, age 57 of Baxter, will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 28 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud.  Burial will be in Northstar Cemetery.  Ron died Friday at his mother's home in St. Cloud after a brief illness. There will be a visitation after 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud. Ron was born September 22, 1957, in Minneapolis to Allen and Audrey (Swenson) Anderson. He grew up in Moose Lake and graduated from the Moose Lake High School. He moved to White Bear Lake and then settled in Baxter where he has lived for over 30 years. He owned ""Captain Ron's" bar in Staples for several years. He sold the bar two years ago and authored a children's book, "Quack, the Lucky Duckling." He has donated proceeds from the sale of each book to Camp Confidence in East Gull Lake, MN. Ron is survived by his mother, Audrey Anderson, St. Cloud; his brothers, Timothy (Marilyn) Anderson St. Cloud and Terry (Katie) Anderson, St. Cloud. He is also survived by his daughter, Katelyn Hendricks and a grandson. He is preceded in death by his father, Allen Anderson in 2009.

Atkinson, Betty*  
Betty J. Atkinson, 87 Paynesville August 5, 1927 ~ April 17, 2015 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Paynesville Lutheran Church in Paynesville for Betty J. Atkinson, age 87 of Paynesville who passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 surrounded by her family at the Koronis Manor. Reverend Marlene Elmstrom will officiate. Burial will take place at the Paynesville Cemetery. Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church in Paynesville. Arrangements were made by the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville. Betty was born in Lemmon, South Dakota on August 5, 1927 to Sam and Olive (Burr) Rien. She grew up in Lemmon and moved to Paynesville in March of 1943 with her mother and brother, Roger. On January 13, 1946 she was united in marriage to James Atkinson in Paynesville. They were blessed with six children. Betty was an active member of Paynesville Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for over 30 years. She was involved in the Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Circle, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and several other community organizations. She enjoyed having coffee with her friends, bowling on the Laubach bowling team and celebrating with the Birthday Club. Betty was a social butterfly; she loved to travel with her friends and family. She had a zest for life and loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. Betty is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Mike (Rita) of Paynesville, Peggy (Gary) Irrthum of Las Vegas, Nevada,  Curt (Karen) of Sartell, Mary (Robert) Hicks of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, and Bruce (Pauline) of Alamogordo, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Betty also leaves behind nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susie; grandson, Trent Atkinson; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Sam, Bob and Roger; and one sister, Mary Lou.

Becker, Ervin*  
Ervin Becker, 90 Brooksville, FL Cold Spring, MN March 21, 1925-March 25, 2015 Ervin M. Becker, 90, of Brooksville, Florida passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 with a luncheon immediately afterwards. Inurnment will be at the Assumption/Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud, MN at a later date. Ervin was born on March 21, 1925 to Carl and Christine Becker, and raised on a small farm on Stickney Hill in Watkins/Kimball, MN. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country from 1949 to 1953. He worked as a TV repairman and factory worker. He moved to Cold Spring, MN with his wife Evelyn where they owned the Granite Cafe & Liquor Store. Several years later, they built The Blue Heron Supper Club. In his "retirement years" he was a part-time school bus driver and craftsman. He enjoyed flea markets and was known for his handyman workmanship. He moved to Florida with his wife Rita and enjoyed tending his orchard and operated a lawn care service. They were members of a RV club and traveled the US. On their visits home to MN, you would find him doing his favorite things...fishing and playing Euchre with his friends. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, council #13209. He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Christine (Dockendorf) Becker; brother Gerald Becker; sisters Myrtle (Becker) Yanish, and Viola (Becker) Stenbakken; and his first wife Evelyn (Steman) Becker. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years Rita (McFadden) Becker; son Kevin Becker and wife Carol; daughter Kelly (Becker-Theis) Michelson and husband Jeff; sister Rosella (Becker) Hayenga, grandson Travis Theis and wife Trisha; granddaughter Erika Bohnenstingl-Theis, step-grandson Justin Michelson; and 12 great-grandchildren Kaitlin, Bailey, Lily, Kiara, Chelsea, Ashley, Chloe, Audrey, Layla, Zoey, Elijah, and Sean. He was a loving husband and father. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
