Benedict "Dick" Joseph Molohon was called to walk with God on Veterans Day, November 11, 2012.
A long-time resident of Rice, Minnesota Benedict died peacefully surrounded by those he loved and his favorite hymns. His gentle manner and caring spirit will be missed by his family and friends. As a testimony to his own faith in God, he left a written legacy to each of his children, encouraging them in their faith and family.
Born in Mankato, Minnesota to Herman and Margaret (Herbert) Molohon on May 21, 1926, Benedict served in the Navy during WWII
and the Korean Conflict
. Soon after that he started and managed Graphic Arts Printing in Mankato and Computer Graphics in Bloomington. Eventually settling in central Minnesota, Benedict operated his own pre-employment counseling business, Sales & Management Profiles, Inc.
Benedict is survived by his five loving children. John (Debera) Molohon of Clarkston, WA; Jenifer (Michael) Mahler of Fort Worth, TX; Lisa (Louis) Moreno of Rochester, MN; Paul (Lori) Molohon of Cottage Grove, MN; and James (Sania) Molohon of St. Cloud, MN. Dick was blessed with thirteen grandchildren whom he loved; Joseph Roberts, Aubrey Lantz, Patrick Molohon, Gabrielle Wolsfeld, John Mahler, David Mahler, James Mahler, Jesse Moreno, Gabriel Moreno, Elizabeth Molohon, Emily Molohon, April Molohon, and Daniel James Molohon; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Dolores, and his beautiful granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Molohon.
The family of Benedict would like to invite you to celebrate his life with them. Visitation is at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5:00-7:00. Rice American Legion Post #473 will pray at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service is at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. and then followed by fellowship time. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.
