Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Assumption Nursing Home Chapel in Cold Spring for Bertha K. Kelley, age 90, of Cold Spring, who died Sunday at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Rev. Julius Beckermann will officiate and burial will be at St. Marcus Catholic Cemetery in Clear Lake. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the nursing home chapel in Cold Spring.
Bertha was born December 10, 1922 in St. Cloud to Herman J. and Gertrude (Dingmann) Eilers. She married Edward Kozlowski on November 25, 1943 in Ogden, UT, after Edwards passing and being single for a few years, she married Leonard Kelley on May 9, 1975 in St. Cloud. Bertha was a homemaker and worked a variety of jobs during her life. She lived in St. Cloud until moving to Cold Spring in 1975. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Cold Spring VFW
Auxiliary Post 6915. Bertha enjoyed bowling, golfing, cross country skiing, fishing, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, William (Jean) Kozlowski of Crossville, TN, Lawrence Kozlowski of Sartell; grandchildren, John (Julie) Kozlowski of Kansas City, MO, Kristin Ward of Howell, MI; and brother, Jerry Eilers of St. Cloud. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward and Leonard; daughter, Rosemary Kozlowski; brother, John Eilers and step daughter, Mary.
