Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins for Cliff Brandenberg, 86, of Watkins, who died Monday, June 17, 2013 at the St. Cloud VAMC. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Thursday at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Watkins Senior Citizens will pray the rosary at 4:00 pm on Wednesday followed by parish prayers at 4:30 pm; Legion Post #453 prayers at 6:30 pm; Watkins Lions Club prayers at 7:00 pm; and Knights Of Columbus prayers at 7:30 pm.
Clifford E. Brandenburg was born on November 4, 1926 at St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He was the son of Clifford and Mildred (Gibson) Brandenburg. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II
and the Korean Conflict
. Cliff was united in marriage to Kathleen Kramer on May 16, 1953 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. They resided at Hamel and Cliff was employed at Honeywell for over 41 years. When Cliff retired in 1986, they moved to Watkins where Cliff was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and served as an usher. He was also a member of the Knights Of Columbus; Watkins Senior Citizens, Watkins Legion Post #453, and the Watkins Lions Club. Cliff enjoyed the outdoors and kept busy with yard work. He also enjoyed visiting and socializing with family and friends, delivering meals on wheels and volunteering as a driver for those who could not drive.
Cliff is survived by his children, Tim Brandenburg of Rockford, Colleen (Daniel) Smith of Watkins, Nadine (Robert) Jesberg of Watkins; grandchildren, Amber (Az) Erfanian, Nicole (Aaron) Danielson, Josh (Hannah) Jesberg, Brett Smith, Ben Jesberg and Jada Jesberg; great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Camren, Xavier, Aiden, Caleb, Adrian and Tyler; brother and sister, Richard Brandenburg of Watkins, Delores Park of Eatonton, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen; son, Thomas; brother-in-law, Jim Park.
