Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 25 at the Newman Center for Conrad A. Urbik, age 73, of Royalton who passed away Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Jeremy Ploof will officiate and burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to services on Friday at the Newman Center. Rice American Legion Post 473 prayer service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. 

Conrad was born April 30, 1940 to Andrew and Mary (Durfey) Urbik in Minneapolis, MN. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1964. On June 26, 1965 he married Linda Provencher at North Methodist Church in Minneapolis. Conrad worked as a police officer with the Minneapolis Police Department for 26 years before retiring and relocating to Royalton. Conrad was an active member at Christ Church Newman Center in Saint Cloud, volunteered over 5,000 hours at the DNR through RSVP and was a member of the Rice American Legion Post 473. Conrad  enjoyed birding, fishing, deer hunting tinkering on various projects around the home, and taking cruises. 

Conrad is survived by wife, Linda; children, Ellen (Gary) Galbavy of Stillwater, David Urbik of Minneapolis, Mary (Pat) Wenker of Greenwald; mother, Mary Madsen of Minneapolis; sister, Cleo (Tom) Ziesmer of Minneapolis, step sister Linda (Tim Klinkhammer) Madsen of Ham Lake and 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by father; sister, Bonnie Launderville and step dad, Harald Madsen. 

In Lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Wendy's Wonderful Kids or the Tri County Humane Society.
