Edward "Ed" Salokar, 67

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN for Edward "Ed" Salokar, age 67, who died Thursday at the St. Cloud Veterans Administration Hospital. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
There will be a gathering of relatives and friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.
Edward was born in St. Paul, MN. He served in the U.S. Army
during the Vietnam War
. Ed was a Caregiver at the Arizona State Hospital for many years. He loved gardening, especially flowers. He also enjoyed fishing, horses, and any sport and activity. Ed was a member of the American Legion and VFW
Survivors include his former wife, Carol Papermaster; children, Christine (Patrick) Salokar, Laura Gonzales; grandchildren, Nathanial, Ambre, and Llogan Salokar, Samantha Gonzales; great-grandson, Sean Patrick; brothers and sisters, Francine Yoder of Mesa, AZ, Sherry Nguyen of Shrewberry, MA, Dolly Woodcock of North Branch, Larry Pratt of Duluth, Erbon Salokar of Stacy, Lewis Salokar of Fort Smith, AR; uncle, Delbert Fish of Silver Bay, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine (Salokar) Pratt; sister, Nancy Zivanovich; aunts and uncles, Frank and Glady Salokar, France Salokar, Freda (Salokar) Rolgala, Jean Micklya, and Agnes Wiskoff.
