Graveside services celebrating the life of John Nellermoe, age 84, of Trotter will take place in the spring. John passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Saint Cloud, MN.
John was born to Norman and Ruth (Carlson) Nellermoe on February 2, 1928 in Wibaux, MT. He was raised, the eldest of six children, in the western North Dakota area. John is known as a jack-of-all-trades, a handy do-it-yourself electrician and carpenter, and a helpful neighbor who's always eager to lend a hand. He applied these skills and built his own home. John was a recently retired farmer and rancher with many varied interests. He ran the pyrotechnics for the Trotter 4th of July fireworks show for many years and was always the family photographer. John enjoyed estate sales and auctions and his many finds contributed to his love of collecting. He was a member of the National Weather Bureau for the past 61 years, an active participant in the City Council, and a member of the Lutheran faith community.
John is survived by his siblings Burneal Albin, CO; Norma Martin, FL; Theresa (William) Hollar, FL; Dorothy Lingk, MN; George Nellermoe, MN; Genevieve Dahl, SD; nieces and nephews; and friends.
He is preceded by his parents Norman and Ruth Nellermoe, and niece Charlene Gerads who passed away in 2008.
