John H. Tiemann, 84

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for John H. Tiemann, age 84, who passed away Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.
John H. Tiemann was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Langola Township to Henry & Mary (Sauer) Tiemann. He married Anna Mae Miller on July 21, 1951 in Anamosa, Iowa. John served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War
. He was a salesman for Cater & Odegard, Inc. in east side St. Cloud and became co-owner from 1966-1989. John then worked for various implement dealerships in the Pierz area and retired in July 2010. John was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids American Legion Post #254, Loyal Order of Moose
#1400, and a lifetime member of St. Cloud East Side VFW
Post #4847. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, winemaking, trips to the casino, homemade sauerkraut and sausage, and spending time with family and friends. John was a hardworking person who enjoyed his job and the relationships he made with people. He was a great role model and faith was very important to him.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Anna Mae of Sauk Rapids; sons, Randy of Sauk Rapids and Gary of Sauk Rapids; brothers and sister, Rod (Margo) of Royalton, Paul of Little Falls, and Dorothy Sjoberg of Little Falls. John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael in July of 1970; siblings, Louise (Ken) Arnold and Hank (Audrey); brothers-in-law, Phillip Sjoberg and Keith Swanson.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
