Marian C. Gill, 84

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Marian C. Gill, age 84, who passed away Monday at her residence. Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.
Marian Catherine Gill was born Oct. 11, 1929 in St. Cloud to Raymond & Theresa (Blommer) Muntifering. She worked as an Aide at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul from 1947-1952. Marian married George E. Gill on May 8, 1952 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She was a homemaker and also was a day care provider in her home. Marian was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed embroidery, word finds, Bingo, puzzles, vegetable and flower gardening, canning and babysitting. Marian was a caring, giving person who was always thinking of others. She was a hard worker on the farm and faith was very important to her. Marian loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons and daughters, George H. Gill of Grafton, ND, Robert Gill of Cold Spring, David (Colleen) Gill of Sauk Rapids, Kathy (Dave) Scapanski of Sauk Rapids, Karen (Gerry) Moulzolf of Foley, and Kristine (Dave) Midas of Little Falls; sisters and brothers, Irma Reding of St. Cloud, Lucille Frerich of Hastings, Eileen Collette of Roseville, Jerry Muntifering of St. Cloud, and Roger Muntifering of White Bear Lake; grandchildren, George, Jr., Megan and Ryan Gill, Bob, Jr. and Brian Gill, Amanda Pikus, Justin Gill, Jennifer Betker, Melissa Boron, Cindy Vannurden, Chad and Brad Scapanski, Michelle Swedal, Melinda Fast, Andrew and Amy Midas; and 20 great grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George on Dec. 22, 1987; brothers, Jerome and James Muntifering; sisters, Renee Muntifering, Bernice Loehrer, and Mildred Kampa; and three infant grandchildren.
