Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley for Phillip H. Arnold, 84 of Eden Valley who died Friday at Hilltop Good Samaritan Center in Watkins. The Rev. Jerome Naduvathaniyil, O.S.B. will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home in Eden Valley and also one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Eden Valley American Legion Post #381 will pray at 5:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 6 p.m. at the funeral home in Eden Valley.
Phillip was born in Eden Valley to Martin & Helena (Hueser) Arnold. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict
. Phillip worked as a printer. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley and the Eden Valley American Legion Post #381. Phillip loved playing cards, always had a good joke to tell and was an uncle to 76 nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his sister Helen Stanke of Fridley and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Isabelle Johnson, Henry Arnold, Teresa Binsfeld, Albert Arnold, Rumboldt Arnold, Marcus Arnold, Laura Loch, Florbert Arnold, Cecelia Colbert, Genevieve Lies, Elmo Arnold, Richard Arnold and Marcella Weber.
