Forrest Steven Sincleair, age 68, St. Cloud, MN, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Chapel on Thursday. St. Cloud VFW Post #428 prayer service will be at 6:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.

Steve was born July 7, 1943 in Dallas, TX to Flake and Mildred (Burks) Sincleair. He served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967, during the Vietnam War, as a hospital corpsman. On January 13, 1967 Steve was united in marriage to Irene Ryan at Roosevelt Roads Naval Station in Puerto Rico. They lived in Glenwood, MN, moving to St. Cloud in 1991. Steve was employed by the United States Postal Service from 1984 until his retirement in 2000. He coached youth hockey for many years in Glenwood, MN. Steve was a life member of St. Cloud VFW Post #428. Steve enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He especially loved being Grandad to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Sincleair of St. Cloud, MN; daughter and sons, Catherine (Philip) Mawby of Chester, SC; Kevin Sincleair of Brainerd, MN; Kenneth Sincleair of St. Cloud, MN; brothers and sisters, Michael (Pat) Sincleair of Dallas, TX; William (Mary) Sincleair of Mansfield, TX; Patsy (Jonnie) Wimes of Killan, TX; Jean (Jack) Martell of Ennis, TX; Donna Barham of Quinlan, TX; Theresa Smith of Irving, TX; Kay (Henry) Espinosa of Dallas, TX; Margaret (Jay) Nation of Valley View, TX; grandchildren, Melissa (Joel) Vagle of Big Lake, MN; Daniel (Diana) Hlinsky of Sartell, MN; Maegen Sincleair of Brainerd, MN; Ryan Sincleair of Brainerd, MN; and four great grandchildren, Britta, Keely, Anders and Colin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Dollie Sincleair, sister, Lillian Floyd, and brothers, Flake and James Sincleair.
