Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Roscoe, for Bernard P. "Benny" Lang, age 83, of Roscoe. Benny passed away September 2, 2012 at the Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. Burial will take place in the St. Agnes Parish Cemetery in Roscoe with full military honors.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4 at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Benny was born July 27, 1929 in Eden Valley to Mathias and Barbara (Hourt) Lang. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII from 1946 - 1949. He married Marcella J. "Marcy" Driver on May 27th, 1957 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Roscoe. He owned and operated the Roscoe Garage until he sold it in 1965. He began farming in the Roscoe area until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He would also enjoy playing cards, reading Western Novels and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 3820, St. Joseph's Men's Society and Catholic United Financial.

Benny is survived by his wife Marcy, sons Craig Lang of Richmond, Donald (Bonnie) Lang of Paynesville and Leroy (Kris) Lang of Paynesville, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and sisters Marie Schaefer of St. Cloud and Fran Brossard of Paynesville.

Preceding him in death were his parents, grandson Christopher Liestman, brothers and sisters Susan Kascht, Christine Ramler, Math Lang, Cecelia Theis, Betty VanHoorik, and Theresa Liestman.
