Darlene J. Fuchs, age 55, of Lake Henry, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 surrounded by her family at her home in Lake Henry, Minnesota after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Henry with Rev. Glenn Krystosek officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday both at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Henry. Arrangements are with Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.

Darlene was born on February 25, 1957 in Melrose, Minnesota to Sylvester and Kathleen (Illies) Meyer. She was raised on her family farm in the Spring Hill area and graduated from Melrose High School in 1975. On October 15, 1977, she married John L. Fuchs at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spring Hill. She and John made their home in Lake Henry where they raised four sons and farmed. Darlene was a member of St. Margaret's Parish and Christian Women.

Darlene treasured her family, friends and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. When she wasn't busy baking or gardening, she was enjoying her grandchildren. She also enjoyed four-wheeling, long weekends at the cabin with John, and campfires while camping with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, John of Lake Henry; sons, Brian (Kimberly) of Brandon, Michael of Lake Henry, Doug (Laura) of Sauk Centre, Matt (Kristi) of Lake Henry; five grandchildren and one on the way, Ashton, Carter, Kendra, Leyton and Aubree; mother, Kathleen Meyer of Spring Hill; brothers and sister, Danny (Linda) of Spring Hill, David (Susan) of Spring Hill, Mark (Lisa) of Brooten, Mary Stalboerger (Tom) of Spring Hill and Roger (Sue) of Spring Hill; father-in-law, Lester Fuchs of Paynesville; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Meyer; brother, Brian Meyer; and mother-in-law, Irene Fuchs.

A special thank you to all of our family and friends who have given their love and support during Darlene's battle with cancer.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
