Isidore "Izzy" Richard Hartung, 48

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Isidore "Izzy" Richard Hartung, age 48 will be 11:00 AM Wednesday June 18, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony.  Father Cletus Connors, OSB will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery.  Izzy passed away on Saturday evening at home with family by his side.  There will be visitation from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday June 17, 2014 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany and will continue on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.  Funeral arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Albany.

Izzy was born on July 25, 1965 to Anthony and Ann Marie (Pick) Hartung in Melrose, MN.  He graduated from Albany High School in 1984.  He continued farming on the home farm with his parents until 1997.  He worked at various other jobs until reaching his destination of working with pride at Tom and Rita Middendorf Dairy for 11 years, until health issues arose.

Izzy was a member of the St. Anthony Church in St. Anthony, MN and was a member of Holy Names Society.  He enjoyed helping others and spending time on the farms.  He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Gerald (Bernice) Hartung, Freeport; Kenneth (Peggy) Hartung, Freeport; Mary Jane (Gerry) Boeckermann, Freeport; Doris (John) Leen, Sauk Centre; Gene (JoAnn) Hartung, Melrose; Renee (Greg) Wensmann, Bowlus; LeRoy (Diane) Hartung, Avon; Lillian (John) Arnzen, St. Rosa; Darlene (Glen) Engelmeyer, St. Rosa; Melvin Hartung, Foreston; Geri Ann (Jeff) Feischhacker, St. Rosa and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Ann Marie, sister, Janet Hartung and infant sister, Bernadette.
