St. Augusta

Jan., 22, 1936 - June 11, 2012

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Leo E. Koshiol, 76, of St. Augusta will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. Leo passed away on Monday, June 11 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta surrounded by family. Reverend Robert Rolfes will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday both at St. Mary Help of Christians Parish Center. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the parish center. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Leo was born on January 22, 1936 in Luxemburg, Minnesota to John and Adeline (Beumer) Koshiol. He graduated from Technical High School and served in the US Army. Leo married Barbara A. Mavencamp on October 24, 1959 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Maple Lake. He lived all of his married life in St. Augusta and was employed by Franklin Manufacturing until retirement. Leo also enjoyed farming for many years. He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians parish and St. John Bosco, Clearwater Lions and the Clearwater American Legion Post #323.

Leo enjoyed baseball, hunting, farming, and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barb of St. Augusta; children, Brenda (Max) Wunderlich of Sioux Falls, SD, Julie (Mark) Walterman of Lakeville, John (Sheila) of Clearwater, Mary (Erick) Hagstrom of Medina, Audrey (Greg) Roth of Annandale, Andy of Clearwater, Randy (Beau) of Lake Stevens, WA, Deb (Tim) Ward of Clearwater; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sisters, Della (Ralph) Lansing and Irene (August) Laudenbach.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A special thank you is given to Quiet Oaks Hospice House for their loving care.

Memorials are preferred to Quiet Oaks Hospice House or to St. Mary Help of Christians School.
