Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Henry for Loretta M. Lieser, age 93, of Lake Henry. Loretta passed away peacefully on June 22, 2012 at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will take place in St. Margaret's Parish Cemetery in Lake Henry.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church in Lake Henry. St. Margaret's Christian Women and Rosary Society will pray at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
Loretta was born on May 17, 1919 in Spring Hill, MN to Joseph and Katherine (Hemmesch) Bertram. She married Hugo M. Lieser on September 6, 1938 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spring Hill. They farmed near Lake Henry for many years until they retired to town. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Margaret's Parish where she and her husband took care of maintaining flowers, cleaning and many other custodial duties. She was also a member of St. Margaret's Christian Women and Rosary Society.
Loretta is survived by her daughters Mary Ann Meyer of Lake Henry, Cyrilla (David) Michael of Freeport, and Patty (Tony) Stalboerger of Lake Henry, son-in-law Hilary Brunner of Belgrade, 28 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, brother Clarence (Viola) Bertram of Spring Hill, sisters Ann Hinnenkamp of Sauk Centre, Aurelia (Roman) Sundermann of Melrose and Catherine Lieser of Cold Spring, sister-in-law Hilda Bertram of Melrose and Leona Bertram of Greenwald.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Hugo (January 26, 2004), daughter Cecilia Brunner (September 3, 1997), son-in-law Alvin Meyer (June 20, 2012), great grandson Ben Brunner and son-in-law Hilary's second wife Marion Brun ner (March 24, 2012), brothers Leo, Nick and Al Bertram, sister Mary Lieser and infant sister Theresa Bertram.
