Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell for MaryAnn Catherine Schreder, age 78, who passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at St. Benedict's Senior Community. Rev. Timothy Baltes and Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be at the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 pm on Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell and one hour prior to services Friday at church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

MaryAnn was born August 1, 1935 in Foley to Wendlin and Marie (Novicky) Otto. She was married to Ervin Schreder on February 13, 1960 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Mpls. She worked as a nurse in Minneapolis for 3 years before moving to Sartell with Ervin where she worked as a receiving manager for Shopko for 23 years. MaryAnn enjoyed embroidering, baking for her kids and grandkids, knitting, crocheting, watching and feeding birds, thrift store shopping, playing cards and dice, listening to old time music and polka dancing. She recently went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. MaryAnn was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was active in the Granny Ladies.

Survivors include her husband, Ervin of St. Cloud; children, Steven (Diane) of Rice, Ellen Schreder, of Brooklyn Park, Joe (Julie) of Isanti, Michelle (Jim) Turner of Rice, and Andy (Roxanne) of Princeton; Sister, Bernadette (Ross) Taranitino of Mounds View; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Geraldine Fardette.

MaryAnn made it very well known that she did not want any flowers at her funeral. It is preferred that instead of flowers donations be made to St. Benedict's Senior Community 1810 Minnesota Blvd. SE St. Cloud, MN 56304.
